New Year – New you!
Simply Mums have teamed up with Travel Matters who have put together a fantastic retreat for mums to be.
“You may be a mum already in which case, this new retreat won’t be for you BUT you may also be expecting your baby and are a ”mum to Be”. When I was pregnant with both my children it was very usual to feel tired, overwhelmed and even unprepared for life with my new baby. It’s for this reason that we are pleased to offer our new luxury retreats for mums to be.
As mothers ourselves, we understand that there are many unknowns at the beginning of your parenting journey. We created these retreats to inspire, empower and support you for the first steps of being a mother. The first retreat will give you an opportunity to create space and time to learn more about your pregnancy. There will be time to relax and unwind, as well as making new friendships. Core to this concept is the essence of what makes a “parent pampering” getaway.
The retreats are hosted by Julie Morris of Baby Intuition and Nadia Raafat, who teaches Hatha Yoga, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga and Mindful Birth Preparation. She is also a Birth Doula.
Julie says “Bringing your baby home can be quite a daunting thought for new parents, but having information about what support is available in your community and being able to discuss the essentials a baby needs can reduce anxiety so your own natural instincts ‘kick in’ before you know it.”
During the retreat you’ll learn about the support provided by the NHS in early weeks and alternative sources of support, key information on how a newborn baby feeds which will enable you to differentiate between baby’s feed, sleep and play cues. Also you’ll learn to understand the many early developmental stages and how to soothe away anxiety in both you as a parent and your baby.
There are complimentary pregnancy treatments during the retreat too, including ;
A pedicure: Ila Flawless Feet Treat– a relaxing and energising pedicure for flawless feet using lemon grass and vetivert scrub to smooth, marma massage and foot mask to stimulate and vital energy cream to soften.
Mother-to-be massage by ILA: Nourish and harmonise – a peace-inducing rosehip seed and argan oil massage that includes a foot scrub, gentle massage and marma therapy. Treatment time 1 hour.
A ‘Facial Radience’: one choice of three.
The cost is £825 per person based on two sharing a twin room but you can receive a special Simply Mums £50 discount.”
